Vetted.report exists because the open web is drowning in SEO-farmed listicles, affiliate-driven "best of" articles, and algorithmically ranked junk. Enthusiasts deserve better. I'm Curtis MacLean — I'm 70 years old, I live in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and I built Vetted.report alone, from scratch, because I was tired of wasting time. For years, digging through car review sites and YouTube channels was practically a hobby of mine — sorting the genuinely brilliant reviewers from the sponsored, formulaic noise. That personal list is where Vetted.report started, and cars were never going to be enough: my own curiosity pulled me into food, adventure, nature, military history and more. Every category taught me the same lesson — there's extraordinary content out there, but search rankings, recommendation algorithms and paid placements reward whoever shouts loudest, not whoever's actually best. I wanted to build the opposite of that. We try to give more than we take — that's how I believe you earn loyalty and trust.

How I Vet

Every site and channel in Vetted.report is personally visited, read, and watched by me — no outsourced reviewers, no crowdsourced ratings, no AI-generated summaries, no shortcuts. I check the depth and accuracy of the content, how consistent it is over time, and whether the person behind it actually knows their subject. If it doesn't clear that bar, it doesn't get listed — and if a site or channel already listed starts slipping, it gets dropped. It's 100% me doing the vetting, every time.

No Paid Listings. Ever.

Nobody can pay to be featured on Vetted.report. Not with money, not with free products, not with a "collaboration." The subscription is the only revenue this site makes, and it only comes from subscribers — never from the sites and channels being reviewed. That's the whole point: a recommendation you can trust is one nobody paid for.

Why "Vetted"

The name is the promise. Everything here has been vetted — checked, tested, and found genuinely worth your time — before it ever made the list. And it doesn't stop once something's added. Entries get re-checked regularly: dead links removed, weakening sites and channels dropped. We'd rather list the genuinely great ones than thousands of mediocre ones.
